Ospreys are so rare in Britain that when I found them nesting in my local park, here in Oyster Bay NY, I was excited. Watching them fledge, grow and return over the years has been a thrill. Every Fall, they gather with their neighbors, six or seven at a time, circling the bay as they prepare for their journey to Central America.
