The Garden Basket Cake

The theme for Tristan’s 8th birthday was “Garden Party” so I made this basket, full of fruits, flowers, birds, and little critters. All sculpting was with marzipan. I was particularly pleased with the hummingbirds. You may notice the basket originally had a handle. Sadly my mechanical cake skills failed me here, but the flowers look as if they were always intended!
