The Playing Card Cookies

For Tristan’s 9th birthday, the theme was games so instead of cake, I wanted to build a house of cards… if I could. The cards are made with pan d’amande cookies with a thin covering of marzipan. Each cake had a triangular center of iced sponge cake and two cards. Every friend at the party had their own cake, and most kept one cookie card to take home.
